The internationally acknowledged experts of QAD Inc. presented the new directions and improvements of the QAD Enterprise Applications resource management system. The first two days of the event series featured general topics, followed by training days, where the delegate experts of the partners could partake in courses presenting new business solutions. The pioneering integrated Workflow Management application, QAD Business Process Management developed by QAD proved to be the most popular - by complementing and improving the features of other similar products on the market, it can synchronize and integrate the IT applications into the business recourse management system in a unique way, visualizing, automatizing and controlling the entire business process. Its features help easily optimize processes, which in turn significantly increases efficiency. The Monitoring Framework operation support tool is a similarly innovative solution. The module unites critical business applications on a single platform on a software, database and hardware level.
ISYS-ON Informatikai Tanácsadó Kft. has been the exclusive distributor of the QAD Enterprise Applications resource management solution in Hungary for over years and has been responsible for numerous launch projects as one of the lead distributors of the region. Following the conference Karl Lopker, CEO pf QAD Inc., Ügyvezetője, J.C. Walravens European Director and Tim Conlon EMEA Regional Director took a field trip in Hungary with the leaders of ISYS-ON Kft. to be able to see a few Hungarian implementation solutions with their own eyes.
First they visited the Szombathely factory of the oldest QAD user (since 1995), BPW Hungária Kft., manufacturer of agricultural equipment and heavy landing gear, where they were welcomed by the managing director, Brumbauer József. The resource management solution introduced and supported by ISYS-ON Kft. is still working, currently with hundreds of users. Data is recorded at 50 reporting points with the help of online production reporting. This means that the company and production managers can immediately access information on the current status of production, the scheduling within shifts or the results of quality checks and culling.
The next partner they visited was one of the most innovative food manufacturing company in Hungary, Univer Product Zrt., where the representatives of the company presented one of the latest implementations of ISYS-ON Kft. Károly Molitórisz, CEO of Univer Product Zrt. and Katalin Fehérné Gáspár, Head of the implementation project and deputy Chief financial and purchasing officer also took part in the meeting. Thanks to the fully implemented resource management system, QAD supports all business processes from the farmer’s land to the consumer’s table, which makes all information throughout the supply chain plannable, all products trackable and searchable.
After detailed modelling of the complex business processes of the company, other solutions were implemented, such as finance, accounting, controlling, credit management, itemized post-calculations, production planning, online production reporting, radiofrequency warehouse controlling, trade and quality control.
Similarly, to BPW Hungária Kft., the aforementioned online production reporting was also implemented in the plant of Univer Product Zrt., with direct data connection to the production control systems such as electronic balances and process controlling PLS-based software. With the help of this complex process, all up-to-date information is processed and integrated in a single system in a way that the most up-to-date data is available to users and decision makers at any given time.
Besides production, the radiofrequency warehouse control system was also presented to the visitors, which covers all processes from the receipt of raw and packaging materials, tracking online material consumption to the warehousing, commissioning and delivery.
The personal of visit of the QAD management confirmed yet again that Hungarian implementations are deserving of international acknowledgment. The significant role of ISYS-ON Kft. is also reflected in the full implementation of industry-specific solutions the range of which is continuously expanding not only in the automotive and food production industries but also in custom manufacturing sectors such as the steel, metal, parts, tools, machinery industries as well as mass production sectors, the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, electronics and plastic.
